Using besan or Gram Flour for the face and the skin is an age-old trick that we still use. 
Here are the different ways it can benefit us-

1.Skin Lightening

Besan, used along with lemon, is a very popular home remedy for skin lightening.  Mix 4 teaspoons of besan, 1 teaspoon of raw milk and 1 teaspoon of lemon to form a smooth paste. Apply it all over your face and gently scrub in circular motions. Wash it off with cool water after it dries.

2.Gram flour for blackheads

 Make this simple gram flour face mask for blackheads: 1 teaspoon of gram flour, ½ teaspoon egg white and a 3 drops of lemon/orange juice. Mix well and slather all over the skin affected by blackheads. This gram flour face mask will help tighten the skin around the black heads, enabling them to push out from deep inside, onto the skin surface. This remedy may not bring out all the black heads out but it definitely enables the black heads to naturally come out faster.

3. Reduce Oiliness

If you have oily and greasy skin, try this face pack for immediate results. Mix gram flour along with yogurt or raw milk and apply it on your face. Wash it off after 20 minutes. This pack also removes the dirt and makeup residues from your face.

4.Gram flour for acne

How does gram flour help with acne? Well, acne skin, in most cases is oily and gram flour helps by soaking up the excess oils on the skin’s surface and stale oils stuck deep within skin pores. This helps eliminate excess sebum which can clog pores and create more acne. Gram flour is also a gentle acne cleanser and will not aggravate acne. When mixed with a liberal amount of water, you can create a simple paste that can be used as a gram flour face mask for acne.

5. Dark Arms And Neck

A majority of the Indian women have dark neck and arms. This is due to excessive tanning because of prolonged exposure to sunlight. Mix besan, yoghurt, lemon juice and a pinch of turmeric powder to form a paste. Apply it on your face and leave it for 20 minutes. Rinse off with cool water and repeat this procedure thrice a week for best results. Massage your arms and neck with sesame oil after using this pack.

6.Unwanted facial hair

Apply a mixture of fenugreek powder and chana flour on the unwanted hair. Let it dry and rub off.
Mix chana flour, milk and turmeric (you can add lemon juice and sandalwood powder) and apply on face. Let it dry and rub off in a circular motion.
Mix chana flour, lemon juice and malai. Apply on areas with excess hair and rub off.

7.Body scrubs

Mix together a tablespoon each of chana flour and corn flour. Use this mix to wash your face and body. This is an excellent scrub and will remove your dead skin cells, leaving you feeling clean and glowing.
Mix some fresh cream and chana flour. Apply this paste on to your body. Avoid the area around the eyes, eyebrows and lips. Shower after five minutes. This will make skin smooth.
