With all the heavy cloths on, it’s seems to be usual that we neglect the maintaining of our body. In fact body care is just as important as facial care, especially in the winter. The cold air makes our skin dry and sensitive, so make sure to take extra care of your body during the cold season. In order to maintain your skin in great condition, you should try to pay attention and understand what your skin needs.

1.Moisturize
Moisturize hands and feet every night - Your hands and feet are deserving of great care. Because we rely on them for so much they should always be taken care of year-round, but especially in the colder months. Massage your body oil (you just need a little) on them every night before going to sleep and I bet you will have sweeter dreams too.

2.Don’t forget your feet
Your feet is one of the parts of your body that works hard all day long but is easily ignored. Be kind to your feet. Years of wear and tear can be hard on them. During winter season, feet always get drier than your hands. Don’t forget them when you are putting lotion on your legs. Bring the lotion to your feet as well. There are a lots of skin care products for feet on the market. Don’t be afraid to try them.

3.Avoid harsh chemicals 
use natural products - Many people may become sensitive to the man-made chemicals, causing dry, itchy skin, that are in many body care products. Using natural ingredients, and organic whenever available, feels so much better and it is better for the earth. Just be sure to read ingredients because I know some people can be allergic to some natural ingredients as well (such as nuts).

4.Enjoy a hot bath
There is every reason to give yourself a nice bath in the cold winter. It would be a treat both for your body and for your mind. But do remember not make the bath water too hot, because the hotter the water is the drier your skin will be. Just warm water around 40, and don’t forget to add some bath salt or essential oil if you like. Don’t stay in the tub for more than half an hour, otherwise you may feel dizzy. Taking control of temperature and time is the key to an amazing bath.

Even if hot baths are preferable during the winter months, it affects the skin of both male and female. Since, it absorbs moisture from the skin, leaves the skin dry and clasped.

Protect your skin from winter wind. Try to cover wide portion of your skin with cloth or woolen cloth.
