13 Home Remedies for Dry Skin

1.Paste of banana, avocado and papaya
If your skin has become dry, you can now bring back moisture with a wonderful paste of natural ingredients. Peel and cut banana, ripe papaya and Avocado and get them in a mixer to form a unique paste. Now, apply the paste on your face and neck proportionately. You have to leave the paste on the face for the period of 15 minutes. Now wash it away with the Luke warm water.

2.Almond oil
Many people use Almond oil in their hair. It is very good for the growth of the hair. Now, this is also a wonderful way of bringing back moisture in your dry skin. You can massage your skin with the Almond oil and leave your skin smooth and moisturized.

3.Honey
It is quite easy to get honey in the houses where people are very diet conscious. Since, they have substituted sugar with honey; they have brought back their natural glow. Along with consumption of honey, you can also make a wonderful paste with honey and apply it on your skin. 

Take one small separator and add one teaspoon of honey in it. Now add one tea spoon of egg yolk and two teaspoon of milk powder in it. You can also add some rose water to make the mixture more effective. Apply this mixture on your skin and get glowing, soft and moisturized skin for long during winter.

4.Oil therapy
Lightly massages the hands, legs and the rest of your body with warm almond, olive, or coconut oil before bath. Apply a light moisturizer after bath.

5.Milk cream ( malai)

It makes for a very good moisturizer. Mix a few drops of lime in a tsp. of milk and two tsp. of milk cream and rub it on the hands and legs. Leave it on for a while and then take a bath.

6.Curd
It is an excellent hydrant for the skin. Its antioxidant, anti-inflammatory properties help to soothe the dry and itchy skin in winter. The change can be instantly seen.

7.Aloe Vera plant
It is very beneficial to the skin as it serves as a perfect hydrant. The gel of the plant need to be applied to the face, hands and legs and washed after five minutes. It will moisturize the skin and form a protective layer to prevent the impurities from entering into the pores.

8.Raw milk
It helps in keeping the skin baby soft. A few drops of rose water or lime must be added to the milk before rubbing it on the face, hands and legs.

9.Glycerin
It helps to absorb and retain moisture. Mix a teaspoon of glycerin with a few drops of lime and massage on the skin. Leave it on for a few minutes before you wash it off.

10.Coconut milk
This is not only for reduces skin dryness, but also helps to clear dark spots and blemishes. Coconut can be used fresh or bought from the market. Rub the milk on the body and leave it overnight.

11.Cucumber face pack

It is extremely beneficial for treating dry skin. It moisturizes the dry skin and also lightens the skin tone.

12.Stay well-hydrated.
It is important to drink at least 8 cups of water daily, and more if you are doing exercise to compensate for fluid lost in sweat.

Good hydration gives your skin the best chance of staying moisturized; although it is not a guaranteed "cure," it can certainly help the situation.

13.FISH OIL

I eat 2-3 teaspoons of Nordic Naturals fish oil every day. No more dry skin on my arms or legs. Must be the omega-3 in the oil. You have to take it for a few weeks before you start to see results. Moisturizers don't really seem to work for me.
